I have been using TMS over a number of years for anxiety and depression, alongside medications. I would like to make a number of corrections. First, yes it is time intensive and largely unfunded, therefore expensive, but the newer protocols are under 20 minutes with higher pulsation. The magnet is really not that big and doesn’t shock the brain like ECT. I couldn’t handle ECT. It is like you said a magnetic pulse not a shock wave. I personally think ECT should be banned. TMS is showing lot’s of promise for multiple uses and hence why I go back.
Thanks for bringing this to light, will share with my colleagues.
