Behind these green eyes lies an ancient forest
keeper of deepest secrets from the past
if you could only see my veins pulsating
they run through my life blood
feeding me as they take away.
Secrets we hide in the backrooms it is true
we never really know someone
to expose is to burst forth white and blue
they color the sky who has forgiven our humanity
our stories and layers of truth and deceit
no one is exempt from the taking away of the self
no one is exempt from replenishment.
We dive and divulge to whales what lays hidden
for they understand your communication
your heart speaks loudest in the shadow waters
once emerged, one is submerged in life’s dance
interplay of light and dark where the body
stores layers of truth and the unspoken.
what it’s like to be in the deepest of waters
without a raft to hold on to.
